IRISH CANADIAN SOCIETY THANKSGIVING DINNER

October 11, 2009

ALL ICS MEMBERS AND FRIENDS ARE WELCOME. Please tell others you think might like to attend.

THE EVENT: the new setting we enjoyed so much last year for this annual event will be even more spectacular this year. The much-anticipated new crystal chandeliers are now in place and they are magnificent. The traditional, sumptuous meal will again include a complimentary glass of wine, juice or soft drink, and a FREE draw ticket will again accompany a Full Menu ticket for an array of door prizes, including an ICS Canadiana Gift Basket, a unique Canada umbrella designed exclusively for and contributed by the Canadian Embassy, two 50 euro Kilkenny Shops vouchers compliments of the Ireland Canada Business Association and, compliments of Bewley's Brasserie, a draw for a dinner for two with a bottle of wine. A gift comes with a Children's Menu ticket.

THE TIME: 3:15 p.m. for 4:00 p.m. Dinner will be served at 4:00 p.m. Please be on time!!!

THE SETTING: Bewley's Hotel in Ballsbridge (corner of Merrion and Simmonscourt Roads), in the beautifully restored long-vacant assembly hall that dates from 1792 when it was the Masonic School for Girls. Named in honour of Thomas Prior, an important contributor to Irish society, for his leading association with the original building, it's a nice complement to a room named for him in the nearby RDS, of which he was a founder.`

To access this bright and spacious private room, complete with a (cash) bar and mingling space, face the hotel lobby reception desk, turn left and go along the short hall to the room's entrance.

PARKING and DART and BUS ACCESS: The Hotel offers underground parking for a modest charge. Sandymount DART station is half a block away. Busses (#s 4, 7 and 45) stop just steps away.

MENUS: The Full, Half-Portion option for under-18s and Children's Menus are attached. If a vegetarian meal is required, please indicate that in making your prepaid remittance (below).

TICKET PRICES (includes gratuities):
